I know the origin of this song...the man who is my husband dated Stevie briefly. His apartment had lace curtains & vases of paper flowers. He is a trucker & she called him a gypsy & he her. She wrote this song after they broke up hence the line...do you see your gypsy & she is dancing away from you now. He never got over her completely & whenever he hears this song gets all mellow & remembers the woman Stevie he knew.

@ff2paladin You are exactly right! Susanna Hoffs is like a fine wine, she gets better with age! Not only is she pretty even to this day, but her personality is awesome. She is so nice in interviews that I've seen on TV and on Youtube. Susanna Hoffs because of those 2 traits will always be at the top of my list for hottest women along with English actress Kate Beckinsale. Those 2 are at the top!
